SOME of the highest and lowest valued properties with an Oldham (OL) postcode over the last five years make fascinating reading.

Higher Lydgate Park (in Grasscroft), Lower House Lane (in Wardle) and Park Lane (in Greenfield) have some of the highest-valued homes.

Some of the cheapest residential streets include Acorn Street (in Bacup), Kingfisher Court (in Great Howarth) and Russell Street (in Bacup).

Quick buying company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2015 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across the OL postcodes.

In Higher Lydgate Park in Grasscroft, three properties sold for an average of £730,000. On Lower House Laney in Wardle, three properties sold for an average of £665,000. Also, Park Lane in Greenfield saw three properties sell for an average of £629,833.

Some of the cheapest streets included Acorn Street in Bacup (where three properties sold for an average of £34,333), Kingfisher Court in Great Howarth (where eight properties sold for an average of £34,687) and Russell Street in Bacup (where five properties sold for an average of £36,220).

Property Solvers spokesperson said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.”

“It’s therefore worth nothing detached property in Friezland Lane, Greenfield sold for £1,200,000 in November 2016. Another detached property on Knarr Lane, Delph sold for £1,129,000 in July 2015 and there were a number of other sales between the £700,000 to £900,000 mark”

“At the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for under £25,000 on College Bank Way in Rochdale (OL12), Kilnhurst Road in Todmorden (OL14) and Whitby Street in Rochdale (OL11),” he concludes.
