A CAFE in a Chadderton park undergoing renovation has been badly damaged by fire after youths set fire to the building.
Firefighters from Chadderton and Hollins were called to the building in Foxdenton Park in the early hours of this morning (Friday, March 20).
They found the building smokelogged and by-folding doors and windows smashed by intruders.
Crews were on scene for an hour and a half. No-one was injured.
Nearby residents meanwhile took to the Chadderton Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page to express their disgust at the act of wanton destruction.
