SEVERAL people have been prosecuted at Tameside Magistrates' Court for dumping rubbish in alleyways behind their homes.

The offenders were dealt with at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Thursday with prosecutions brought by Oldham Council under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

Ciara Allen, 20, of Palm Street, Oldham, left a cardboard box in an alleyway at the rear of Palm Street on or before August 8, 2019.

She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £406 costs and £32 to victim services.

Debra Brooker, 41, of Block Lane, Chadderton, failed to ensure household waste from her property was transferred to an authorised person, on or before May 16, 2019. A warrant was issued for her arrest, after she failed to appear at court.

Ramona Codreanu, of Copsterhill Road, Oldham, left three black bin bags in an alleyway at the rear of her home on or before July 19, 2019.

She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £381 costs and £32 to victim services.

William Fielding, 31, of West Street, Failsworth, dumped two black bin bags containing waste and left it in rear alleyway of Clayton Street, Failsworth, on or before July 29. He was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 costs and £21 to victim services.

Florentin Robert Oprea, 41, of Huxley Street, Oldham, left two black bin bags and a cardboard box in an alleyway at the rear of his home on or before July 31, 2019. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £381 costs and £32 to victim services.

Piotr Wasik, 42, of Coalshaw Green Road, Chadderton, failed to ensure household waste from her property was transferred to an authorised person on or before March 11, 2019. A warrant was issued for her arrest when she failed to turn up at court.
