Traders at Bolton Market have delivered over 13,200 orders to doorsteps across the borough.
The market introduced a home delivery service as larger supermarket chains struggled to meet demand, with delivery slots unavailable for weeks at a time, and restrictions on certain products.
Customers have described traders and staff as "absolute life savers", with food stalls remaining open for business to sell residents the essentials.
Bolton Council’s cabinet member for environmental service, Cllr Adele Warren, said: “I know from visiting the market myself what an incredible job everyone is doing at a time when it has never been more important for people to access fresh food.
“Those who are vulnerable or self-isolating have the confidence of knowing they can get vital supplies brought straight to their door from a trusted local business.
“Many new shoppers have used the market for the first time during lockdown and I hope they will continue to do so in the months and years to come.”
The market is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9-5pm.
