CORONAVIRUS cases in Oldham have now passed the 1,000 milestone, according to government data.
In the last 24 hours the number rose by only seven from 997 to 1,004.
Oldham so far been hit fourth hardest in the severity of the outbreak out of the 10 Greater Manchester authorities.
The highest number of cases is in Manchester, which has 1,428, followed by Wigan (1,118) and Stockport (1,013). Behind Oldham on 1,004 is Bolton (954), Salford (891), Trafford (746), Rochdale (720), Bury (669) and Tameside (627).
The number of cases across the North West is 23,786.
