Pasty lovers across the borough can now order their favourite savory treats to be delivered straight to their doorstep.

Popular local business Carrs Pasties has launched an online delivery service to give customers their pastry fix whilst stores as closed because of coronavirus.

All BL postcodes, and homes in M26, M27, M28, M29, M38, and M46 codes can be delivered to free of charge.

The popular products are made by the bakery, before being frozen and packed up to be baked to perfection in your own home.

Nine items are available, including five variety of pasties, and portions of traditional northern food.

Pasties are sold in packs of four, with meat and potato, steak, cheese, cheese and jalapeno, and vegan varieties all up for grabs.

Vegan and regular sausage rolls are available in packs of six, with Lancashire potato hash arriving as a pack of two, and three portions of mushy peas also on sale.

All products arrive frozen, with pastry goods needing around 25 minutes in the oven to make the perfect snack.

Don't worry, because all items will be accompanied with cooking instructions to ensure you know what to do.

At the moment, the firm is working with limited staff so there are just a few delivery slots available, but the service will expand when it's safe to do so.

Delivery is free and available Monday to Friday from 9-5pm, although you will have to spend at least £15 on site to be eligible.

Staff will ring the bell when dropping off your goods, as well as calling or texting as long as you've provided your number.

It's not possible to book a timeslot for deliveries, so you will need to be available for the whole day, but you are able to select the best day to get your favourite pasties.
