A LAW firm is helping Cheshire businesses cope with the impact of coronavirus by offering legal advice through free online webinars.

Solicitors from Aaron & Partners have been working with the team at Warrington Business Exchange and recently hosted a seminar with the firm’s employment team taking questions on the current landscape of employment law, covering topics from furlough to sick pay and returning to work safely.

The workshops have been regularly viewed by more than 100 business and HR professionals at a time during lockdown, and they are set to continue after the Government urged businesses to continue working from home if they can.

Nick Clarke, senior partner at Aaron & Partners, said: “When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, it was important for us to adapt quickly in order to meet our clients’ needs and by holding online webinars, we’ve established a new channel that allows us to continue offering expertise in a safe way.

“Face-to-face meetings with clients and other advisers have always been a key element of our services but we have seen huge interest in our online webinars, where our different teams have been providing free advice to local businesses.

“The situation is still very complex so it’s never been more important to seek expert advice on how best to navigate the current and emerging issues.’’

Aaron and Partners’ renowned HR lunch club, which offers latest insight on legal updates for employers, is also now taking place online on a free fortnightly basis.

Helen Watson, Head of Employment Law at Aaron & Partners said: “Our teams have been working around the clock to keep up with the rapid changes made to legislation as a result of COVID-19, ensuring our updates are based on the very latest announcements from the Government.

“Being resilient is vital in the current business climate, and we’ve done exactly that to continue offering businesses certainty during these highly uncertain times.

“As the world adapts to doing more business online, we expect webinars to become part of our overall client service and having received such a positive response to our online events, we’ve committed to continuing to deliver them on a regular basis.”
