A PUPIL at Great Sankey Primary School is running 100 miles in June to fundraise for his school and a mental health charity.
Ethan Hall will run with his two-year-old dog George around Great Sankey and Chapelford and hopes to raise £500.
His mum Emma said: "It's a difficult time for everyone at the moment, we're all trying to stay focused, positive and happy.
"Our schools are supporting us in the best way possible, and the mental health of our children is key.
"He wants to give something back to his school before he leaves, to thank them for the support over the past few years and particularly over these past few months.
"They have been amazing.
"He also understands that being outdoors and getting some exercise is important for good mental health, and after seeing one of my friends lose a young son due to mental health, he has decided to split whatever money he makes between his school and YoungMinds charity."
