Saddleworth Cricket Club
FIREFIGHTERS were needed to rescue a 13-year-old boy from a tree he had climbed at Saddleworth Cricket Club last night.
The Oldham crew was called to the Well-I-Hole Road, Greenfield club at 7pm when friends of the boy called for help with the boy stranded about 26 feet up.
"He climbed the tree, but couldn't get down," said a fire service spokesman. "He was uninjured and all's well that ends well."
