A STYLISH Saddleworth hostelry has launched a novel "Pints and Pizzas for a Purpose" fundraiser for Whit Friday (June 5).
A team of volunteers has provided more than 3,500 meals to NHS staff on the Royal Oldham Hospital's intensive care unit in full PPE, vulnerable people in Oldham isolating at home.
They are working with AgeUK and NHS staff isolating at the White Hart Lydgate.
But say organisers, money is fast running out and they need help.
On Whit Friday, the White Hart is providing a takeaway service from the pavilion at the rear of the pub with real ale in three litre containers and a choices of pizzas.
Social distance parking and queuing will be co-ordinated by volunteers stewards. A clear one way system will be in place.
The White Hart is closed and so no food or drink maybe consumed neither on the premises nor on our grounds as this would be in breach of the current lockdown restrictions.
