POLICE have shared body camera footage of emergency services treating a stabbing victim at a rave last Saturday as part of a campaign to stop people from attending more illegal raves this weekend.

The frenetic video shows police officers racing through land to an injured man at the Carrington rave, which took eight minutes – quicker than the time it would have taken to get to the scene by going in their vehicles.

Officers then give life-saving first aid to the man, who was one of three people stabbed at the event at Carrington, at which an 18-year-old woman was raped as well.

The stabbing victim is heard saying "please, please save me" at the scene. After being given treatment he was taken to hospital.

Police treat the stabbing victim at the scene

Around 2,000 people attended the Carrington rave while a further 4,000 people went to a rave at Daisy Nook Country Park in Failsworth, where a 20-year-man died following a suspected drug overdose.

Greater Manchester Police understand there are more illegal raves planned for this weekend and are urging people to think twice before putting their lives at risk.

The force say there will be dedicated policing operation in place with a much higher presence in potential hotspot areas.

Police are encouraging the public and businesses to provide them with details about any future events too.
