POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked by two dogs.
He was walking his Jack Russell in Corporation Park, Blackburn, when his dog was attacked by two large akita-type dogs on Tuesday, June 23 at 6pm.
The owner of the Jack Russell intervened and was bitten. The Jack Russell suffered serious injuries and the owner also had bite injuries to his arms and hands.
A police spokesman said: “The two offending dogs were on a lead and the owner is described as a white male, approximately 28 years old, 5’7” tall of a thin build.
“The dogs are described as large brown, white and black ‘Akita’ type dogs.
“Similarly, if you are the owner of the dog, then I urge you to come forward immediately.”
Police released a photograph of a man they wish to speak to.
There were lots of people in the park at the time and the victim believes there are multiple witnesses yet to come forward. Contact PC 4546 Burton by calling 101 and quoting incident number LC-20200623-1480.
