ANDREW Johns is telling Canterbury Bulldogs they need to sign Warrington Wolves hooker Daryl Clark.

The Dogs are in strife, bottom of the NRL after five straight losses and without a head coach after Dean Pay's departure this week.

Rugby league icon Johns, who had a three-game loan spell with The Wire 15 years ago and remains a good friend of the club, is now a reputed media pundit in Australia and has included Clark in a list of five names that he feels could help Canterbury begin their recovery.

“I had a quick look at their squad – they need to buy a world-class dummy-half. There’s one in England called Daryl Clark, who plays for Warrington, really top-line player,” Johns told Channel 9 Wide World of Sports.
