FOUR men from Burnley and Nelson have been charged on suspicion of conspiring to supply a class A drug.

The news was posted on Burnley and Padiham Police social media platforms about the incident which dates back to April.

Asim Hafeez, 20, from Nelson, Zohaib Hussain, 26, from Burnley, Asad Hussain, 24, from Burnley and Mohammed Boota, 63, from Burnley - are among those charged with conspire to supply a class A controlled drug.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "Back in April this year two males were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine following a stop and search.

"These two males were released under investigation and the Pendle task force conducted further enquiries in regards to this incident.

"After obtaining additional evidence yesterday morning the same two males were further arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A.

"Following house searches two other males were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A following a discovery of a significant amount of cocaine which was prepared ready for distribution.

"Officers have worked tirelessness throughout the day and night and the crown prosecution have authorised charges for all four persons.*

"We will continue to target people who are involved in organised crime which has a significant impact on the community."
