EAST Lancashire is to largely miss out on the country’s heatwave as temperatures look set to reach a whopping 39 degrees in places.
However, those thinking about running to the supermarket to pick up a paddling pool across the North West may need to think again.
And while the weather is set to be fair, the mercury won’t be tipping more than 24 degrees across East Lancashire– according to the Met Office.
Describing the weather conditions for the North West over the coming days, a spokesman said: “Tonight is turning cloudier through the early hours. Mild. Minimum temperature 15 °C.
“After a dry start with clear spells, Saturday will be another warm day with sunny spells throughout. Maximum temperatures of 26 degrees.
“From Sunday to Tuesday it will stay warm, mostly dry with sunny spells but the chance of thundery showers increasing.”
