I AM probably one of the oldest supporters of the football club and have known many managers from Charlie Bell, Jack Bruton and John Bond.

It would be nice if some tribute such as many clubs seem to do these days that a statue was put up in tribute to Eddie Howe. His achievements far exceed the likes of Alex Ferguson and many other Premiership managers, in such a short period. From saving us from extinction to the Premiership.

I think it is right that he takes a rest which he thoroughly deserves. It is nice to know that Mr Tindall and others are remaining. It is very obvious that Mr Howe’s heart is still with the club. I feel he should be invited back when he is refreshed. In view of his respect for the club, it might be a possible idea to invite Mr Redknapp to be interim manager.
