BOSSES from a fast casual dining chain have given a vote of confidence to Bury's dining industry with the launch of a new outlet this Friday.

Rapdily-expanding Indo Chinese outfit Oodles will thrown open the doors of their 18th location, in Walmersley Road, before the weekend.

And the venture by the Leicester-based firm will also be bringing more than 20 jobs to the borough, it has been confirmed.

Oodles already operates in Derby Street, Bolton, and last year launched a branch along Blackburn's Curry Mile, in Victoria Street.

Their approach revolves around a starter and main course combination, packed into small, medium or large boxes, to eat in or takeaway.

Dishes will include Malaysian chicken, chilli chicken, Chinese lamb curry, chilli prawns, caramel chicken, teriyaki chicken, schezuan beef stir fry and crispy prawns.

Side options include spring rolls, Chinese wok wings and Torpedo prawns. The menu is certified halal with dedicated vegetarian options.

A spokesman for the store: “We cannot wait to open to local food lovers and we genuinely believe our proposition is totally different to what has been available to customers in Bury previously.

“Our concept of fresh and unique tasting Indo Chinese food is something different.

“Location is very important to us and we wanted to be in a good prime location which is why we have invested into this venture. We are a company focused on serving great quality food and hospitality and we look forward to being part of the Bury food community and economy.”

A half-price launch party for the 35-seat restaurant is planned from 3pm to 9pm.
