A 50-year old Oldham man has been given a 24- week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and placed under curfew after a string of offences.
Sean Kenneth Watton, 50, of Ashton Road, Hathershaw, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on December 11, 2019, by failing to attend Oldham CRC office for appointments.
As a result, he has been dealt with for his original offences of receiving stolen goods, namely a debit card and dishonestly buying goods with it.
He also failed to surrender to custody at Tameside and assaulted a police officer, stole £2.50 cash from a woman and went equipped for theft with a screwdriver, torch and glove.
Watton interfered with a Seat Ibiza car, a caravan, was in possession of cannabis in Oldham and was again later equipped for theft with a screwdriver, torch and glove.
He was placed under curfew with electronic monitoring. Watton must also pay £85 costs and £128 to victim services.
