A MOTORIST from Oldham has been jailed after leading police on a drink-drive chase in North Wales.
Police say Spencer Joseph Morris, 31, of Oldham Road, initially failed to stop for officers on the A55 on August 8.
His VW Golf was "all over the place" say officers, between Rhuallt and Holywell.
Morris appeared before Caenarfon Crown Court last week and admitted to drink-driving and having no insurance.
He was jailed for 12 months and banned from driving for 42 months.
Speaking later, Pc Martin Done of North Wales Police's roads unit said: “Morris’s driving was reckless and completely irresponsible that morning and it was only by good fortune that no one was seriously injured or killed.
“Hopefully the sentence given to Morris will act as a warning to others that these actions are dangerous and have serious consequences.”
