A BOLTON digital marketing company is celebrating after securing the business of a Greater Manchester footwear firm which owns the Lelli Kelly Shop.

Tao Digital Marketing will be working with Hirst Footwear, based in Oldham, to increase the online visibility of their website, as well as PR and paid social media ads to bring the brand to new audiences.

Hirst Footwear is classed as a non-essential retail business and has faced months of closures, which has impacted turnover.

Vicky Dean, managing director of Hirst Footwear and the Lelli Kelly Shop, on the Laurel Trading Estate in Royton, said: We quickly realised we needed to invest in our online presence, and not just on marketplace platforms.

“This has resulted in two new super-quick websites, and we have also invested in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and our online presence.“It is early days as yet, but already we have seen a notable increase in customer queries and engagement.

“We are confident that visitors to our site, and consequently customers buying our products, will increase relatively quickly.

“We are delighted to be working with Tao Digital to build our online digital presence, they have really helped to give us clarity in our strategy moving forwards.”

Matt Tomkin, Founder of Tao Digital Marketing, based in new premises in Knowsley Street, Bolton, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with such a popular and well known brand. We look forward to helping to boost the company’s sales.”

He added: “It has been a really exciting period of expansion for us as more and more businesses are realising the importance of having an online presence.

“This is particularly the case as we have crept closer to Christmas and non-essential shops have been shut, so people have had to shop for presents online.

“We are here to help businesses get more exposure and grow using innovative methods at a time when footfall has dramatically fallen and many people are looking online for goods and services.”

The business is looking to expand the team even further in the coming months. Matt said: “We are confident we will continue this success and growth in the future.”
