POLICE in Chadderton arrested a man on Friday, discovering numerous ingredients used to make "suspicious" vape liquids.

Officers from the Chadderton Neighbourhood Team arrested the man in South Chadderton on the evening of February 5.

He was initially stopped and searched due to the smell of cannabis emanating from his vehicle.

Numerous ingredients which can be used to make vape liquid were subsequently found inside the vehicle, along with a large quantity of cash, a knife and several mobile phones.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and money laundering.

The man has since been released under investigation pending formal identification of the items seized.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Worryingly we are seeing more and more youths using e-cigarettes with suspicious vape liquids.

"Please be mindful of what your children are using and where they are sourcing these liquids from."
