The family of a man who was murdered in north Manchester this week have paid tribute to him.
Officers were called to Whitstable Road in Moston in the early hours of Thursday after receiving reports a man was in distress.
Upon arrival they found Alan Murphy, aged 39, had been stabbed in his arms and chest.

"He has left a lasting impression on everyone's hearts who has met him.
