A SUPERSTORE proved its slogan every little helps lived when it brought a surprise, warm hearted gesture to a community.
Greg Barratt, Tesco Greenfield community champion, organised a delivery of flowers, including tulips and daffodils, to random houses throughout the village which brought a wave of praise on social media.
He said: “We thought through these difficult times how some people are so down and alone, we would drop of flowers to random houses through the village and hopefully bring a smile to faces.”
They also donated flowers and hampers to three local private residential homes.
Said Greg: “These I think have not had as much recognition as the NHS and the residents have had limited access to their families so it was nice to make them smile and spread a little happiness.”
