I WAS pleased to read the report on The Oldham Times about the saving of jobs at the Peacocks stores.

So many have lost their jobs to this horrid pandemic including major department stores such as Debenhams.

When we come out of the pandemic we need to start to spend again and get the economy booming if we can.

I know that people prefer to shop online and that is why places have closed but it would be great to see more jobs being created.

It would also be great to see the government give out vouchers to spend to help get everyone shopping.

I think people should shop local but the major stores need us too, so many have closed and that's sad.

What's another £500 per household for the government? Billions of pounds were pulled out of fresh air for the NHS so we may as well add some more debt onto the country's bill.

I AM thoroughly looking forward to the salons opening in a few more days.

I have found that a hairdressers appointment or a nail appointment is also a therapy session, it's a catch up with friends and it is a lovely way for the elderly to get out of their homes and get some company.

A hair cut is sometimes the highlight of a person's month if they are isolated.

I think it will be good to get people back in the places they love to go, we will see a difference in everyone's mental health.

People will feel better after a hair cut and they will have a bit of a boost from this.

Including me!

I have booked a hair cut for the end of April, I am looking forward to a pamper and a catch up with my friend and hair stylist.
