A man is expected to be sentenced later this week for an attack on his partner in Oldham and killing her dog.
Keith Robinson is alleged to have inflicted grievous bodily harm on a woman in Shaw in June last year.
On the same date he is accused of destroying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier belonging to her.
The case against the 56-year-old was due to call yesterday, but due to an ongoing incident at HMP Forest Bank Prison he was unable to consult with his lawyer ahead of sentencing.
When he was brought to the court he said he would be pleading guilty to the charges.
Judge Maurice Greene listed the case against Robinson, whose address was given as HMP Forest Bank, for a plea and sentence on Friday.
