Two large saws were found by police during a weapons sweep of Werneth Park yesterday.
Officers were in the Oldham park as part of a national week of action on knife crime called Operation Sceptre.
Pictures shared today on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page show police in the park as well as the saws, which were found in bushes.
The accompanying post said: "The Werneth Neighbourhood Team have been taking part in the Op Sceptre week of action.
"Yesterday they visited Werneth Park where they deployed the knife arches and also conducted weapon sweeps in and around the park.
"They found two saws in some bushes, which have now been removed."
