THE Assheton Bowmen archery club has reunited members with a weekend of activities ahead of the summer season.
The archery club on the outskirts of Oldham on Victoria Avenue East, held a virtual quiz and inter-club competition, which saw a selection of archery clubs from across the country competing, over the weekend.
On Sunday, a socially distanced shooting session allowed members to head to the range and enjoy a sausage butty provided by the club.
Kate Campbell, club secretary said: “It was wonderful to have everyone back to the range and to catch up with our members again. It’s been a difficult year and many of us have been unable to shoot for much of it.
“This weekend really gave us the chance to make sure everyone feels welcome again and that they can get back to the sport they love, as well as the community spirit of the club.”
The club has more than 90 members ranging from 10 to 83 years old and offers indoor and outdoor ranges with upgrades made over lockdown.
