The following cases have recently been before the court over the last week involving either people from Oldham or offences which took place in the town.

These all called at Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

Liam Everitt was banned from the roads for a year after admitting being behind the wheel under the influence of cocaine.

The 30-year-old admitted to the offence which took place on Derker Street in Oldham in April 2019.

He also admitted having no licence or insurance on that occasion.

The man from Birchinlee Avenue in Royton was also fined £140.

Lee Denson was jailed for 12 weeks for an attack on a woman.

The 32-year-old admitted the assault which took place in February this year just two days after the woman in question had given birth.

Denson, of Frances Street in Oldham, attacked her with a shoe while she was in bed.

Marius Constantin was placed on a community order for motoring offences.

The 31-year-old admitted driving on Chadderton Way in Oldham in November last year with no insurance and while disqualified.

The man from Molyneux Street in Rochdale was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and do ten hours of rehabilitation activity requirement days.

A future driving licence of Constantin's was endorsed with six points.

Christopher Needham was banned from the roads for 18 months after admitting driving under the influence of cannabis and cocaine.

The 59-year-old admitted the offences which took place on Pearly Bank in Oldham in June last year.

He also had no insurance on that occasion.

The man from Littlemoor Lane in Oldham was also fined £120.

Stuart Swindles was banned from the road and placed on a community order for driving under the influence of alcohol and without a licence or insurance.

The 31-year-old admitted the offences which took place on Fountain Street in Tameside in March this year.

Swindles, from Robson Street in Oldham, was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to attend at 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
