AN area of the M62 has been shut this afternoon after a car fire.
Emergency services were sent to the motorway near junction 22 for Denshaw, and the section of road between the slip roads was closed following the blaze.
No injuries have been reported.
All lanes have now been reopened.
A Highways England spokesman said: "The westbound carriageway has been fully reopened at junction 22 .
"We are preparing to reopen some lanes on the eastbound to help get you moving.
"Thanks for your patience."
