MORE than 2,000 homes in Oldham were hit by a power cut today.
Network Electricity North West reported that 2,115 homes were struck by the incident.
A large number of addresses with the postcode beginning OL3 were affected.
This afternoon, an Electricity North West spokesman said: "We are aware of a power cut in Oldham affecting 2,115 properties, our engineers are en-route to the substation.
"We're sorry for the inconvenience, we will keep everyone posted."
Within an hour though, all homes had power.
The network added: "Everyone who was affected by the large area fault in Oldham have been restored."
