An Oldham woman has been banned from the roads after being found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sarah Howarth-Flanagan admitted the offence which took place in Underwood Way in Shaw last month.

The 41-year-old was found to have 71 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

She made the admission during a recent appearance at Tameside Magistrates' Court.

The woman from Gilderdale Close was banned from the roads for 20 months.

As well as this she was given a fine of £120.

The court took her guilty plea into account when imposing a sentence.
