PLANS to change offices into accommodation with 28 bedrooms have been withdrawn

A change of use application to convert offices on Union Street in Oldham into a 28-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO) was sent to the council in December.

But last week the local authority said the proposals have been withdrawn.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the council turned down an application to change a function room at a property on Walter Street into two flats.

In refusing the plans, which were issued in February, the council said: "The proposed flats would not provide any future occupant with an adequate standard of amenity, as a result of cramped living conditions, poor outlook from habitable rooms, and low levels of natural light."
