A MAN from Oldham has been charged after homes across Greater Manchester and one in Buckinghamshire were raided as part of a large drugs conspiracy probe.

Police carried out warrants at seven addresses in Oldham, Milnrow, Crumpsall, Farnworth, Bury and Radcliffe yesterday at around 5.30am.

In Radcliffe they found a cannabis farm with 18 plants and they also found cultivation equipment at an address in Farnworth.

Following this five people, including three women and two men aged between 25 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of cannabis and cocaine.

At a property in Buckinghamshire a 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class a drugs.

And now three men have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Among them is Jaymie Dawson, 27, of Rhodes Street, Oldham.

Daniel Degisi, 35, of Dukes Rise, Bury, and Richard Cranston, 54, of Hijon Crescent, Buckinghamshire, have been charged too.

Degisi has also been charged with one count of being concerned in the production of cannabis.

All three men were remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today, Friday.

A 29-year old woman and a 25-year old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cocaine, and a 42-year old man arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, have been released under investigation.

The charges come after police launched operation Glory in June 2020 as part of a probe into the supply of class A drugs across Greater Manchester, and beyond, by individuals with links to organised crime.

After the raids yesterday, Detective Chief Inspector Joe Harrop, from Greater Manchester Police's Serious Crime Division, said “Action like this comes after months of hard work to collate evidence and ensure we are tackling those responsible, but a huge part of our initial intelligence comes from members of the public feeding information to us or Crimestoppers anonymously.

"We will always encourage the community to come to us with any suspicions or information they have so that we can respond and remove suspects and their illicit assets from the streets, and drive a wedge between offenders the supply.”
