A driver attempting to get away from police in Ashton was out of luck – as he came across a road which was closed for tree felling work.
Officers from the Waterloo team of GMP’s Tameside North and East unit came across the car in Parkbridge area while out on patrol.
But the driver did not want to stop to engage with officers and attempted to get away.
His luck was out when he came into a road closed for tree felling.
When officers caught up with him they discovered he had good reason to want to get away, as he was without a licence to drive the vehicle or insurance to be behind the wheel.
The force posted a picture on social media of the car being seized.
