Akanji drove dangerously under the influence of alcohol
A man has admitted driving dangerously under the influence of alcohol and without permission in Oldham.
Samuel Akanji made the confession during a recent appearance at Tameside Magistrates’ Court.
The 23-year-old admitted that in April this year he was behind the wheel of a BMW on Greengate in the town when he had 40 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
As well as this the man from Higher Wood Street in Middleton admitted that he did not have permission to drive or insurance for the vehicle in question and that he drove dangerously.
The case against him was sent to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court where Akanji will appear next month to be sentenced.
