Police in Tameside have clamped down on motoring offences.
The force revealed it was out today and caught four drivers going at excess speed, including one going at 54mph in a 30mph zone.
The Tameside South and West unit posted on social media: “This sort of speed is not acceptable and puts all road users in danger, all four drivers reported for summons.”
As well at this police revealed that four people were reported for using their mobile phone while behind the wheel in the centre of Hyde.
Officers also issued seven tickets for motoring offences, took two vehicles off the road for having no insurance and made one arrest.
The force has warned people against this type of behaviour, saying: “Tomorrow we will out and about again, please drive carefully and be considerate to other road users.”
