A BAND with an Oldham link are enjoying their return to the stage after performing another electrifying set at the weekend.

After a socially distanced sell out gig at Legends Live Lounge in Lees, bassist Ian Gallagher, from Oldham, and his band Gallaher's Green played at The Spinning Top in Stockport on Saturday night.

The gig, which was sold out again, went down a storm with fans travelling from as far as Derby and Nottingham to see them perform songs from their debut album Lucky 13.

Lead singer and rhythm guitarist Jon Olphert said: “It was amazing to get up on that stage and perform songs from our debut album Lucky 13 as well as our new material.”

“We’ve got some loyal fans and for them to travel from as far as Nottingham just made our night."

Lead guitarist Tommy Stretton added: “Thank you to everyone who came down and made it a special night, awesome crowd yet again.”

Lucky 13 was released in February and has been given airtime on independent radio stations across the UK as well as in America, Australia and South Africa, with more than 25,000 streams recorded on all platforms.

A follow-up album, Dare To Dream, is set to be recorded in August.

The band have more performances lined up at Molly’s Bar in Ashton-Under- Lyne on July 31, Retro Bar in Manchester on August 13 and at Burnley Live on September 4.
