An Oldham man has been banned from the roads after being caught almost two times over the drink drive limit in Manchester.
Mohammed Hussain admitted he had been found on Thurloe Street in Rusholme in May this year with 68 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35.
The 30-year-old admitted the offence during a recent appearance in Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.
He was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Insignia at the time.
The man from Ridley Street in Oldham was banned from the roads for a period of 18 months and given a fine of £120.
The court took his guilty plea into account when determining the sentence.
