The following cases have been in the docks involving people from Oldham.

These people came before Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

Adrian Balaban was banned from driving for four months after he was found to have driven without insurance.

The 20-year-old committed the offence on Ashton Road in Oldham in February this year.

He was accused of driving without a licence but this was dropped as no evidence was offered.

The man from Fulham Street in Oldham was also fined £300.

Amjad Hussain was penalised for failing to give information to the police when accused of a motoring offence.

The 46-year-old denied the allegation, but was found guilty.

He was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Insignia in April when the offence took place.

The man from Grains Bar in Oldham was fined £660 and given six points on his licence.

Aiden Simpson was accused of motoring offences and an assault on a police officer.

The 28-year-old was accused of assaulting a constable in the exercise of his duty earlier this month in Oldham.

He is also accused of driving a Ford Transit on Rochdale Road in the town dangerously and without insurance.

He pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The case was sent to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court where the man from Warnock Road will appear next month.

These cases called at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.

Sean Cowie was accused of conspiring with others to have a firearm in his possession with the intention to endanger the life of another.

He faced a separate charge of obtaining a firearm.

Both offences are said to have taken place in January this year in Greater Manchester.

The case against the 31-year-old was deemed too serious to be dealt with in that court.

It was sent to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, where the man from Mountford Court in Failsworth will appear next month.
