THE 50 Things app has come to the borough to bring new experiences and educational activities for young children in Oldham.
The initiative launched this week arrives just as the summer holidays begin to highlight all the low or no cost family activities available.
The app is based around the notion that access to fun and low or no-cost family experiences, either indoors and outdoors, can support young children’s development.
The project is already running across several major cities in the UK and is now ready for Oldhamers to use to kick off their summer.
Head of early years for Oldham Council, Paula Healey said: “We’ve seen how successful the 50 Things app has been elsewhere, so we’re delighted to bring it to Oldham.
“There’s a real opportunity here for families to learn all about the brilliant activities that take place throughout Oldham all through the year. It’s also a great resource to learn more about children’s development along with finding out about fun events to get involved with.
“You can download the app right now to start learning more about what’s on offer for you and your family in your area.”
