ONE more coronavirus-related death has been recorded by the NHS trust that manages the Royal Oldham Hospital.

NHS England data shows there have been 1,682 deaths linked to Covid-19 logged by Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust since the start of the pandemic.

The statistics reveals there was one death each recorded by the trust on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Across the UK, 121 people have died after having testing positive for the virus in the last 28 days.

Separate government figures discovered there have been 124 new coronavirus cases discovered in Oldham in the last 24 hours.

Figures show the number of people per 100,000 in the borough who had coronavirus up to August 29 was 277.3, less than the UK average of 351.9.
