An Oldham man has escaped a ban from the roads after driving with no insurance.
Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court found Michael Harvey drove a BMW on Church Lane without the required policy.
The offence took place in December last year on Church Lane in Moston.
However the 33-year-old avoided being banned from the roads.
The court determined there were mitigating circumstances.
These were that Harvey he would lose his livelihood and this would cause emotional hardship on his family and work colleagues.
The man from Norfolk Crescent in Failsworth was fined £692 and given six points on his licence.
