A MAN climbed onto the roof of a building in Bardsley this morning.
Police were called to Ashton Road at around 10.52am over concerns for the welfare of a man.
It is reported that the building that the man climbed on was a former pub.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman added: "The man is on the roof of a building and is engaging with Police.
"There is a scene ongoing and road closures in place."

Ashton Road was shut both ways following the incident.
At around 2pm, police said the man was no longer on the building and had been taken to hospital.
