AN abandoned vehicle that had its windows smashed and a hole cut out of its bonnet has been towed away by police.
The Volvo estate on Junction Street, Darwen, is believed to have been abandoned more than a week ago with the owner unknown and has since been badly damaged by passers by.
A spokesperson for Blackburn with Darwen Police said: "Darwen Neighbourhood Policing Team have removed a vehicle which had been abandoned on Junction St, Darwen, over a week ago.
"Over the last couple of nights this vehicle has attracted anti-social behaviour.
"Vandals have smashed a window, let the tyres down and cut a big hole into the bonnet.
"If this is your vehicle and you want it back then contact the police on 101 within the next 7-days quoting ref number LC-20210915-0616.
"We would be pleased to discuss this matter and answer any questions you may have. Thanks and stay safe."
