A FORMER bike shop in Failsworth is set to be turned into flats.
A change-of-use planning application has been granted to convert the former Gerry Shields Cycles store on Old Road into five one-bed flats.
The proposals state that "the property sits within a residential area of Failsworth, with good access to local facilities and amenities including shops, supermarkets, public houses, and Moston Brook Park".
"There are good public transport connections into both central Oldham and Manchester via the A62 (bus routes 159, 83, 84) and the Failsworth tram station being located a three-minute walk from the property", the plans add.
The proposals have been given the green light by Oldham Council.
