A MAN from Yorkshire has been caught driving his van over the speed limit and under the influence of cannabis in Saddleworth.

Kevin Radcliffe, 32, of Lowell Place in Leeds, pleaded guilty to the offences, as well as to the possession of cannabis, at Tameside Magistrates' Court on September 30.

The offences themselves happened on March 12, when Radcliffe was driving a Mercedes Sprinter van on Oldham Road in Delph.

Police caught him driving over the 30mph speed limit, before a test revealed an illegal level of cannabis in his blood.

They also found him in possession of cannabis.

Radcliffe was fined a total of £844, including costs, to be paid by October 28.

He was also banned from driving for 12 months.
