A TRIO of men from in and around Oldham are set to appear in court charged with drug offences following dawn raids earlier in the week.

At around 5.30am on Tuesday, officers from GMP Oldham's Challenger Team made the raids at three properties in Failsworth and Newton Heath.

After searching these properties, officers found 13kg of suspected class A and B drugs, including cocaine and amphetamine – also known as speed.

They also found more than £3000 in cash, designer clothes and jewellery.

Then on Wednesday, GMP Oldham revealed three men have been charged.

Michael Mooney, 34, of Church View, Failsworth, has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply cocaine.

Mark Bowles, 33, of John Street, Failsworth, and Daniel Buckley, 33, of Hulmes Road, Newton Heath, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, conspiracy to supply amphetamine and entering into a money laundering agreement.

All three men remain in custody ahead of an appearance at Tameside Magistrates' Court later today.
