A MAN who was arrested in suspicion of being involved in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack has been bailed.

A 24-year-old man from the Fallowfield area was taken into custody on Friday on suspicion of engaging in the preparation of acts of terrorism/assisting others in acts of preparation under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

But late last night, Greater Manchester Police said he was bailed pending further enquiries.

The suicide bomb attack in the foyer of the venue at the Ariana Grande concert on May 22, 2017 killed 22 people including Royton mums Alison Howe, 44, and Lisa Lees, 43, who were collecting their daughters from the event.
