MORE than 40 youths caused anti-social behaviour (ASB) on the transport network in a few hours in Failsworth, police have said.

Greater Manchester Police's transport unit officers were patrolling in the area and said they had to step in to "disrupt" the youths.

On Friday, the force took to social media to report the problem.

A police spokesman said: "Hello, GMP Transport Unit at Failsworth again tonight and in a few hours we've disrupted 40 plus youths causing ASB.

"Often parents who collect have no idea their kids travel so far but we're happy to reunite them either at the platform or at home."
