POLICE have released CCTV images of a man as part of an investigation into a 'terrifying' robbery at Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre.
At around 10am on Monday, officers were called to a shop within the shopping centre after a report of an armed robbery.
They established two men entered the shop, threatened workers with a screwdriver and took off with an amount of cash in a grey Suzuki Swift.
No one was injured, but workers were left shaken, according to police.
As part of their investigation, officers have now released CCTV images of a man wearing a Manchester United home shirt. No arrests have been made.
Detective Constable Zulqarnain Tanweer, of GMP Oldham, said: "This was a terrifying incident in which innocent staff were threatened with weapons.
"We have been following a number of CCTV enquiries which has led us to be able to release these images of an individual we want to speak to.
"If anyone has any information that could help us to identify this man please get in touch with police."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 9059 and quote incident 849, or to use the online chat function on gmp.police.uk.
